Exciting news this week in the busy world of orchestral appointments - from a very talented and exciting pool of applicants, we are delighted to announce that Helen Thomas will join us as our new MD from November.

"I'm honoured to have been appointed as Musical Director of Westmorland Orchestra to succeed Melvin Tay. The Orchestra has a fine reputation for performing a wide range of repertoire to a very high standard. I'm looking forward to taking that legacy forward and to making music together."
