After further study of the Kosenko Heroic Overture, we have decided we can't do it justice in a one-evening session, so reluctantly, we have shelved it for some other occasion.
We now plan to focus on playing Sibelius Symphony no. 3.
Loaned copies will be available on the night. We hope to make bowed parts available to string players in due course.
Scored for orchestra with:double woodwind, with Bb clarinets & contra bassoon
4 x French Horns in E and C, but we do have F parts
3 x trumpets and trombones
NOTE: Bass clarinet and tuba now have nothing to play, Sorry!Notes:
Playing standard guide - grade 5 or above
There will be a break - bring your own refreshments
We will start playing promptly at 7:15 and finish at 9:30
Parking is limited - please allow time to find some!If you aren't a member, but are interested in attending, click here. You will then be sent an email invite for each session. It helps our admin if you book in advance -
But even if you just turn up on the night, we'll provide music and a warm welcome
Under 16s may play if a parent or guardian is present. To discuss this, or if the cost is too much, please contact the treasurer - we want you to play!
